What is DIWASS and how should a company prepare

Who DIWASS is for

The system connects everyone in the process: the person who arranges the shipment, the waste producer, the carrier, the consignee and the treatment facility, as well as the competent authorities of the Member States.

What you can do in it

  • submit notifications and receive authority decisions electronically;
  • submit Annex VII information for shipments that do not need a notification;
  • follow the status of a shipment and exchange documents with the authorities.

How to prepare

  • Tidy up partner and facility data: names, addresses, contact persons, permit numbers and expiry dates.
  • Collect the waste codes and descriptions you use.
  • Agree who in the company prepares the data and who approves it before it is submitted.
  • Follow your national competent authority's instructions on access to the system.

Cargoleaf and DIWASS

Cargoleaf is an independent product: it helps prepare and manage document data so it is easier to enter in DIWASS. Direct integration with DIWASS is planned but not available yet. We give no legal guarantee of compliance.
